A solid dot is someone you have already documented. An open dot is a name still missing, and that is usually where the interesting work starts. Nothing about your family is visible to anyone else unless you decide it should be.

№ 02 Three pillars

One platform where knowing where you come from and choosing who you build a life with are the same work.

Not a dating application with a genealogy tab. Not an archive with messaging attached. Three pillars, joined by a single Heritage Identity Graph.

i Discover Your Roots Build a living heritage record rather than a dating profile. Document your country, state, local government, town, village, compound and clan, your native names and surnames, your family stories and your migration history, then invite relatives to help. See how a Heritage Profile works Recorded so far Delta State · Aniocha North Issele-Uku · 3 sources Family compound · not added
ii Build Meaningful Relationships Friendship, companionship, courtship, marriage, professional connection and distant family, each kept in its own context. Recommendations read culture, language, faith, family values and future intention, and arrive with the reasons attached. See how matching works What we look at Shared state of origin Language spoken at home Marriage and family intention
iii Protect Future Generations When a relationship turns serious, compare family histories with mutual consent. The result reports overlap, confidence and what is missing, then recommends research. It never states that two people are related, and never that anyone is safe to marry. See how the Heritage Check works How sure we are Confirmed fact Possible connection Research hypothesis
№ 03 How it works

A real insight about your family in under sixty seconds.

Onboarding asks only what you know. Every sensitive question can be skipped, and every answer earns you something immediately rather than later.

01 Tell us where you are from, and where you live now One question with two answers. From Nigeria, living in Canada is enough to place you among Nigerians Abroad, Nigerians in Canada, and West Africans in Canada. You get your first communities before onboarding ends
02 Choose why you are here Discover your roots, build a family tree, find distant relatives, join communities, make friends, find a relationship or a marriage partner, network professionally, attend events. Choose as many as apply. Your home screen is built around what you picked
03 Add only the heritage you actually know State, local government, city, town, village, compound, clan, ethnic group, language, dialect. Every single field offers I do not know, Not listed, and its own privacy setting. Nothing here is required. Every field you add makes your communities more specific
04 Add one ancestor A parent or a grandparent begins the tree. You can invite a relative to confirm what you have written and add what you do not know. Your family tree exists, and your record starts growing
05 Ask your first question The Heritage Assistant suggests a question based on the gaps in your record, such as which records might trace a grandfather who moved states in 1952. Complimentary AI Credits, with the cost of anything further shown up front
№ 04 Heritage Profile

A living record of where you come from, not a dating profile.

Country, state, local government, city, town, village, compound, clan, ethnic group, language, dialect, native names, surnames, titles, migration history and family stories. Every fact carries its source, its confidence and its own visibility setting.

Family history is full of things people half remember. We keep all of it, and we stay honest about which parts are proven and which are still a story.

№ 05 Family Tree

Every family tree begins with one person.

Add a parent or a grandparent and the tree starts. Invite relatives to confirm what you have, add what you do not, and record the stories only they remember. Nobody can silently overwrite disputed family history.

№ 06 Communities

You should never have to search for your own people.

Tell us you are from Nigeria and live in Canada, and the first communities appear before onboarding ends. As your heritage record grows, the recommendations get more specific, all the way down to your clan and surname.

None of these sit behind a payment. Each one opens the moment you add the piece of your history it belongs to, and every line tells you which piece that is.

№ 07 Relationships

Come for friendship, community, courtship or marriage. The contexts never blur.

You choose why you are here, and browsing for a mentor never feels like a dating feed. Recommendations read culture, language, faith, family values, intention and heritage, and every one arrives with the reasons attached.

№ 08 Heritage Assistant

Hit a dead end? Find out exactly where to look next.

You have a name, a place and roughly a year, and no idea what to do with them. Ask, and you get back the specific records worth checking, the questions to put to your elders, and a straight answer about what is still guesswork. It will not invent a fact just to sound sure.

Your first questions are included when you join. After that you see the price before you spend anything, you are only charged when it works, and you never need Premium to use it.

You asked

My grandfather moved from Edo State to Lagos around 1952. Help me identify records and questions that may help trace his family.

The answer
What is known Your grandfather was in Lagos by 1952. Edo State origin is recorded in your Heritage Profile from family testimony.
What is uncertain His specific town of origin, his father's name, and whether the 1952 move was for work, education or family.
Possible interpretation Movement from Edo State to Lagos in that period was frequently work related. This is a pattern, not evidence about your family.
Records to look for Church or mosque baptism and marriage registers, colonial employment records, Lagos electoral rolls, and school admission registers.
Ask your elders Which town did he always name as home? Who did he travel with? Did the family surname have another spelling?
You are only charged when you get a real answer. If something goes wrong, it costs you nothing. Save to family tree
№ 09 Relationship
Heritage Check

Building something serious? Compare your family histories, together.

Both people must agree before any private family information is compared. The result reports what overlaps, how confident that is, and what is still missing. It never declares two people related, and it never declares anyone safe to marry.

Consent, before anything is compared
Compared: surnames, maternal and paternal names, towns, villages, clans, compounds, known ancestors and migration paths.
Not shared: your family tree itself, your relatives' details, documents, photographs or private notes.
Only the two of you see the result. Either of you can withdraw consent at any time.

If something in your two histories overlaps, we tell you free of charge. What you can pay for is deeper research, never a firmer answer than the evidence allows.

Result · possible overlap
Some heritage similarities require further research.
Shared ancestral villagePossible connection
Similar maternal family namePossible connection
Overlapping migration historyHypothesis
Confidence Low to moderate
This does not confirm a biological relationship Compare both family trees, ask your elders about the names and places identified, review available civil, church or mosque records, and consider professional genealogical research.
№ 10 Events

Show up once, in person, and the whole thing stops being an application.

Cultural festivals, genealogy workshops, elder storytelling sessions, language evenings, community celebrations and homecoming trips. Events are where a heritage record becomes a relationship.

THU · AUG 13 Igbo language evening Community centre, North York Free to attend
SAT · AUG 22 Family tree workshop Virtual · two hours Genealogy workshop

№ 11 Trust and safety

Verification tells you what was checked, and what was not.

Thirteen kinds of verification, from email through to a genealogist reviewed Heritage Profile and a family elder endorsement. Every badge explains its own limits, because a badge that overpromises is worse than no badge.

Identity and selfie verificationConfirms a real person holds this account. It says nothing about their character or their history.
Community and hometown verificationConfirmed by community moderators or elders who can vouch for a stated origin.
Genealogist reviewed Heritage ProfileA qualified professional has reviewed the sources behind a member's heritage claims.
You decide who sees each part of youFaith, maiden names, your compound and your lineage all start out private. You choose who sees each one, and you can change your mind.
Nothing is compared unless you both say yesFamily histories are only ever compared when both people agree, and either of you can stop it at any point.
Blocking and reporting stay between usThe other person is never told, nothing shows on your profile, and you can undo it.
What HeritageMingle will never do
State that two members are biologically related on the basis of member submitted information. Tell anyone they are safe to marry. Put a basic heritage overlap notice behind a payment. Show your family tree, maiden names or lineage to another member without your consent. Sell your genealogy, relationship or family data to advertisers. Replace medical or genetic advice with an AI answer.
№ 12 Membership

You only pay for what you actually use.

Membership, credits and research are three separate things here, so nothing gets bundled together to pad a price. № 13 Why we built this

Somewhere there are people who know your grandmother's village, your family name, and why it was spelled differently after the move. We built this to help you find them.

Leaving home does not only cost you a place. It costs you the people who could have told you who you are. Every part of this platform exists to give that back: the record of where you come from, the communities who share it, and the relationships worth building on top of it.

№ 14 Begin

Start with one name you already know.

A parent, a grandparent, a village, a surname. That is enough to begin a family record, find your communities, and meet people who understand the whole story without being told it.
