How we treat each other here
HeritageMingle exists so people far from home can be understood without having to explain themselves first. That only works if it stays safe to be honest here.
Be who you actually are
Real photos, real name, real intentions. Impersonating someone else, or presenting a life that is not yours, is the fastest way to lose an account.
Someone declining is a full answer
No means no. To an intro, to a question, to a conversation carrying on. Pressing after a no is harassment, and we treat it that way.
Difference is the point
People here practise different faiths, speak different languages, and are at different distances from home. Contempt for any of that has no place on HeritageMingle.
Keep professional professional
The professional context is never for romantic approaches. Using it that way is a reportable breach, not a grey area.
What is shared privately stays private
Do not screenshot, forward, or repost someone else's messages, photos, or anything they chose to keep off their public profile.
No commerce, no recruiting, no scams
HeritageMingle is not a marketplace. Asking members for money, in any framing at all, is grounds for an immediate ban.
If something goes wrong
Every profile, message, post and event can be reported, and you can block anyone at any time. Blocking is quiet. The other person is not told. You do not owe anyone an explanation for leaving a conversation.
